Heavy afternoon rainfall in New Delhi brought much-needed relief to residents struggling with intense heat and high humidity. Earlier in the day, strong sunshine and hot winds had made outdoor conditions uncomfortable. Following the rain, the weather turned cooler and more pleasant, with a noticeable drop in temperature.
Many people visited parks and other public spaces to enjoy the refreshing breeze and improved weather. However, the downpour also caused waterlogging in several areas, leading to slower traffic and temporary commuting difficulties.
According to the weather department, light to moderate rainfall is expected to continue over the next few days. Residents have been advised to remain cautious while traveling through waterlogged areas and to stay updated with local weather advisories.
