London: England’s rising tennis star Jack Draper has been ruled out due to injury and will not participate in the upcoming Italian Open, scheduled to begin later this month in Rome, Italy’s capital. Draper is currently dealing with a knee injury, which has also forced him to withdraw from the Madrid Open.
His absence has disappointed fans, especially as he had only recently recovered from a bone injury that previously kept him out of Wimbledon. With his withdrawal from both Madrid and Rome, concerns have grown regarding his fitness. However, there is optimism that Draper could make his return at the French Open, set to commence on May 18.
