Jabalpur: The BJP has taken to the streets in protest against the objectionable remarks made about women by Congress MLA Phoolsingh Barraiya. As part of this agitation, the BJP Mahila Morcha, Jabalpur Metropolitan, on Saturday evening burned an effigy of MLA Barraiya at Malviya Chowk under the leadership of the state president of the Mahila Morcha, Mrs. Ashwini Paranjpe. On this occasion, BJP city president Ratnesh Sonkar and Mahila Morcha city president Rupa Rao, along with a large number of women party workers, were present.
