The son of a leader associated with an organization campaigning against Chinese kite string was caught in this deadly string while walking on the road. The string struck his face directly, leaving him seriously injured. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors had to apply multiple stitches to his face.
Following this incident, several prominent citizens of Moga have warned the administration. They stated that if effective action is not taken immediately against those selling Chinese kite string, people may be forced to take matters into their own hands and protest directly against the shopkeepers.
