Mumbai – Former captain of the Indian cricket team, Sunil Gavaskar, has advised struggling aggressive opener Abhishek Sharma to spend more time at the crease before unleashing his natural attacking game.
According to the legendary batsman, regaining rhythm requires a return to basic fundamentals. Gavaskar emphasized that Abhishek should avoid losing his wicket in haste at the start of the innings. He suggested focusing on rotating the strike and taking singles initially, allowing both body and mind to settle into the match situation. Once properly set, he can then express himself and play his natural attacking strokes with greater confidence and control.
