WASHINGTON: The United States has designated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a Major Non-NATO Ally (MNNA), a significant move cementing the strategic partnership between the two nations. President Donald Trump announced the decision during a White House state dinner on Tuesday in honor of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
“I am pleased to announce that we are taking our military cooperation to even greater heights by formally designating Saudi Arabia as a Major Non-NATO Ally,” the President declared.
