Lucknow. Dr. Shaheen Shahid from Lucknow, who was arrested in connection with the Delhi blast case, along with her brother Dr. Parvez Ansari, was running a covert “school of Jihad” across parts of Uttar Pradesh and other regions of the country. They reportedly told young Muslim men and women, “This is not the path of terror. This is the message of Allah, and we must be ready to sacrifice for Him. Allah has chosen us for this purpose.”
During the interrogation so far, police have learned that several others were linked to Dr. Shaheen’s virtual training modules, including Dr. Arif—arrested from Kanpur—his brother Dr. Parvez, and Dr. Farooq Ahmad, detained from Hapur. According to investigators, Dr. Shaheen was influencing Muslim women and girls with inflammatory speeches, gradually preparing them for jihad. She allegedly told married women that, “For this cause, you may even have to divorce your husbands and leave your families.”
