New Delhi. Amid complaints of shortage of Corona vaccine by some states, the central government has said that states and union territories currently have around two crore doses of Kovid-19 vaccine and to provide 26 lakh additional doses in the next three days. The process is in progress. The Union Health Ministry stated that investigation, detection, treatment and vaccination along with Kovid-19 compliant behavior is an integral part of the Government of India’s detailed strategy for epidemic control and management.
It is noteworthy that under the nationwide vaccination campaign, the Center is helping the states and Union Territories by providing Kovid-19 vaccine supplements for free. The ministry said, “The Government of India has so far made more than 21 crore doses (21,07,31,130) of Kovid-19 vaccines under the free category and direct purchase category to the states and union territories. Of these, according to the data received at eight o’clock on Thursday morning, 19,09,60,575 doses have been consumed, including the wasted ones.
“About two crore (1,97,70,555) doses are still left with the states and union territories to be given,” the ministry said. “Apart from this, about 26 lakh additional doses (25,98,760) ) The process of providing food is going on and within the next three days the states and Union Territories will also get these supplements. ”
The central government is facilitating the states and union territories to purchase vaccines directly. It may be noted that on May 1, Kovid-19 has implemented a liberal policy for the third phase of the vaccination campaign under which the Center will procure 50 percent of the vaccines approved by the Central Pharmaceutical Laboratory every month, which will be provided free of cost to the states.
