Snow cover, stalled flights, rail and road traffic in many states of America

In the US, large parts of the country received snowfall and many states had snow sheets. Many flights have had to be canceled after the snowfall. With this, rail and road traffic has been affected. Snowfall occurred south to the Gulf Coast of Texas. Meteorologist Mark Chenard of the Weather Forecast Center of the National Weather Service said that people generally do not face such cold wind in the far south.
Because of this cold storm, authorities in Houston have asked people to be prepared to deal with such situations, including power outages, road blockages, as in a Category-5 cyclone. At the same time, after the rain in the Houston area, the temperature reached the freezing point. Chenard said there is a possibility of 12 inches of snowfall in the southern plains on Tuesday. A large part of America is still affected by the cold weather, but it is almost rare to have such a situation till the south.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has issued a ‘disaster’ warning for all 254 counties in the state. He said that Texas is facing a very dangerous chill storm. At the same time, in a statement on Sunday night, President Joe Biden declared a state of emergency in Texas and ordered the state to provide federal government help. More than 760 flights were canceled at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
