Monsoon Gains Momentum; Rain and Strong Wind Alerts Issued for 16 States

Following the onset of the monsoon in Kerala, weather conditions have begun changing across several parts of India. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the monsoon is advancing rapidly toward Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

Rainfall is expected on June 5 in several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana. Over the next 24 hours, nearly 16 states may experience heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds.

Meteorologists have forecast wind speeds ranging between 60 and 70 kilometers per hour in some areas. Authorities have also issued heavy rainfall warnings for several states in southern India as well as parts of the northeastern region, urging residents to remain cautious and stay updated with local weather advisories.
