Washington: US President Donald Trump stated that the United States is determined to emerge victorious in the ongoing conflict involving Iran. Speaking before leaving for China, Trump warned that Iran would either agree to negotiations or face severe consequences. He emphasized that the US possesses every possible option to manage the situation effectively.
Trump also revealed that his discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping would include topics related to the Iran conflict and the Strait of Hormuz crisis, although trade issues would remain the primary focus of their meeting.
According to media reports, the United States has reportedly spent nearly 29 billion dollars during the 74-day conflict so far. The expenditure has largely been directed toward weapons systems and military equipment, excluding the costs associated with damage to military installations.
US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has also requested an additional defense budget from Congress. He stated that maintaining America’s position as the world’s leading military power would require an estimated 150 trillion dollars in funding.
