In a tragic incident in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker district, three personnel of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) lost their lives, while another was injured. According to police officials, a security team had set out for a de-mining and search operation in the Chhotebethiya police station area, near the Kanker–Narayanpur border.
During the operation, an explosion occurred while the team was attempting to defuse an improvised explosive device (IED) that had been planted in advance. The blast was so intense that the personnel had no time to react. The injured were immediately evacuated, but three of the personnel succumbed to their injuries on the spot. The injured individual is currently undergoing medical treatment.
