New Delhi: During the summer season, temperatures often remain above 40 degrees Celsius for several consecutive days, accompanied by hot winds. Under such conditions, issues such as dehydration, heatstroke, and extreme fatigue become quite common. Authorities are advising people to take special precautions during this period.
As the entire country eagerly awaits relief from the intense heat, attention is turning toward the arrival of the monsoon. According to the Meteorological Department’s forecast, the monsoon is expected to reach the country in the month of June. However, initial indications suggest that its progression may be slightly slower than usual this year.
This situation could be a matter of concern, particularly for North India, where rainfall is expected to be below normal. In contrast, the northeastern and southern regions of the country are likely to receive better rainfall, which may provide some relief for agriculture and help improve water levels in these areas.
