Imphal: The prolonged political uncertainty in the northeastern state of Manipur, which has continued for the past year, now appears to be moving toward a resolution. With the term of President’s Rule in the state set to expire on February 12, the BJP’s central leadership has summoned more than 20 Manipur MLAs along with alliance partners to Delhi with immediate effect.
To attend this crucial meeting, a large delegation of legislators, led by state unit president A. Mayum Sharda Devi, has already arrived in the national capital. Speaking to the media at Imphal Airport, Sharda Devi stated that legislators from all constituent parties of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) have been called for discussions. She expressed confidence that a people’s government would soon be restored in Manipur.
