New Delhi. On the occasion of the 78th death anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, the country paid heartfelt tributes to him on Friday. President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Rajghat in Delhi to pay their respects to Bapu. Both leaders offered floral tributes at the memorial and observed a moment of silence to express their reverence for the Father of the Nation.
The tribute ceremony at Rajghat was also attended by the Vice President, Union Ministers, senior officials, public representatives, and members of various organizations. All paid floral homage to the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi and remembered his thoughts and ideals. From early morning, a large number of devotees gathered at the Rajghat परिसर, and the atmosphere became deeply imbued with Gandhian spirit amid the strains of “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram.”
