Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney Likely to Visit India in Late March

New Delhi: Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is expected to visit India toward the end of March. In the meantime, a representative body of Canadian universities has announced that presidents from 21 universities across the country will travel to India in the first week of February. Carney’s proposed visit is being viewed as a step toward renewing and strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations. India and Canada have resumed discussions on a trade agreement, with current talks focused on defining its scope and framework.
