Motihari: The state government has begun preparations to usher in a new phase of industrial revival in Bihar. Under the Saat Nishchay–3 initiative, the Nitish government has decided to revive industries that have been lying closed for years. Plans to establish and rejuvenate industries are now visibly moving from paper to the ground.

In this context, renewed hope has emerged regarding the Baidyanath Sugar Mill located in Chakia, East Champaran district, which has been shut down for decades. To assess the possibilities of reviving the mill—closed since the 1990–95 period—the District Magistrate conducted an inspection of the mill premises.
