Washington: Amid escalating tensions in the Gulf region and growing concerns about the possibility of conflict, the second round of critical negotiations between the United States and Iran over Tehran’s nuclear program is set to begin in Geneva on Tuesday. Facilitated by Oman, the primary objective of these talks is to prevent any potential military confrontation.
However, just ahead of the diplomatic engagement, firm warnings issued by U.S. President Donald Trump, along with assurances reportedly extended to Israel, have made the atmosphere surrounding the negotiations increasingly sensitive and complex.
