New Delhi: The central government has issued new guidelines regarding the national song Vande Mataram, aimed at ensuring uniformity and reinforcing respect for national symbols.
According to the revised rules, it will now be mandatory to sing all six stanzas of Vande Mataram prior to the national anthem at official functions. During the rendition, all attendees will be required to stand as a mark of respect.
As per the standards set by the government, the total duration of the song has been fixed at 3 minutes and 10 seconds. Additionally, the guidelines clarify that if both the national anthem and the national song are to be performed at a particular event, Vande Mataram must be sung first.
