US Destroys 16 Iranian Vessels Allegedly Laying Mines in the Strait of Hormuz

Tehran Escalating military tensions between the United States and Iran have effectively turned the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz into a potential conflict zone. In a major statement released on Wednesday, the U.S. military claimed that 16 vessels belonging to the Iranian navy had been destroyed near the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the U.S. Central Command, these vessels were reportedly engaged in laying naval mines along a key commercial shipping route. Confirming the military action, U.S. President Donald Trump warned that Iran would face even more severe consequences if it continued to obstruct maritime navigation in the region.

In a message posted on social media, Trump stated that the United States is employing the same operational technology and methods that are typically used in actions against narcotics traffickers.
