Washington: In a major and stringent move in his foreign and economic policy, U.S. President Donald Trump has applied the “Russia-style formula” to Iran. Trump has announced that any country around the world that maintains commercial relations with Iran will have to face significant financial penalties in its trade dealings with the United States. Under this new directive, a 25 percent tariff (additional duty) has been imposed with immediate effect on countries that engage in trade with Iran.
