Indore: A heart-wrenching tragedy unfolded early Wednesday morning in Greater Brijeshwari Colony of Indore. A short circuit in an electric car that was being charged outside the house turned the entire residence into a raging inferno. In this devastating fire, seven members of the same family lost their lives, including a one-and-a-half-year-old child and several women.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 4 a.m., when the family was fast asleep. A spark reportedly emerged from the charging point of the electric vehicle parked outside, which quickly ignited the car. The flames rapidly spread, fueled by plastic materials and chemicals stored inside the house. Within moments, the fire intensified uncontrollably, leading to a series of explosions as four gas cylinders kept inside the house burst one after another.
The explosions were so powerful that a portion of the house collapsed, trapping the occupants inside. Power failure during the incident prevented the digital locks from functioning, leaving the family with no means of escape.
