New Delhi: Indigenous automaker Tata Motors’ Tata Punch CNG has recently achieved the highest rating in safety tests. The car has emerged as an appealing option for families seeking a budget-friendly vehicle without compromising on the safety of their loved ones.
In safety assessments conducted by Bharat NCAP, the Tata Punch was awarded a full 5-star rating, placing it among the safest affordable CNG cars in the country.
The vehicle offers a high level of protection for both adult occupants and children. The company has equipped every variant with essential features such as six airbags, making it stand out in its segment. During rigorous crash testing, even after a collision with a heavy vehicle, the main cabin of the car remained intact, demonstrating its strong structural integrity. Higher variants also come with advanced features like a 360-degree camera, blind view monitor, electronic stability control, and a tire pressure monitoring system, enhancing both ease of driving and overall safety.
The CNG variant of this popular model from Tata Motors starts at approximately ₹6.75 lakh (ex-showroom), with an on-road price of around ₹7.70 lakh. The higher variants go up to nearly ₹9.20 lakh (ex-showroom). In this price range, a car offering such a high level of safety is a major attraction for consumers.
