Invitations Extended to Representatives from Various Countries for the Swearing-in Ceremony
Dhaka: Tarique Rahman, Chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and son of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, is set to take oath on Tuesday as the new Prime Minister of Bangladesh. His party secured a decisive victory in the recently concluded general elections.
At 60, Rahman will assume the office of Prime Minister for the first time, succeeding interim government head Mohammad Yunus. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place at 4:00 PM on Tuesday at the South Plaza of the Parliament complex in Dhaka, with all necessary preparations having been completed. Representatives from several countries have been invited to attend the event, including the Speaker of India’s Lok Sabha.
