Ritu Khund Levels Serious Allegations Against Pahari Singer; Uproar After Video Surfaces

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh–based model Ritu Khund has made serious allegations against Pahari singer Vikas Khachi. In a video shared on social media, Ritu stated that the singer contacted her under the pretext of offering work and later imposed conditions that included sharing a room and drinking wine with him. The issue has gained widespread attention following the release of the video.

According to media reports citing Ritu Khund, Vikas Khachi contacted her via Instagram on the morning of January 3 with an offer to shoot a music video. Ritu said she has previously worked on several projects, so she took the proposal seriously and shared her budget and other relevant details. She alleges that during the preparation for the shoot, the singer asked whether she drinks wine and then stated that, due to the long journey, certain “compromises” would be required—specifically sharing a room and drinking wine.

In the video, Ritu said such remarks caused her mental distress. She clearly stated that she neither consumes alcohol nor is willing to share a room. Ritu emphasized that she is a professional model who earns work and income on the basis of her talent, not through inappropriate compromises. For this reason, she decided to make the matter public.

Responding to the allegations, Vikas Khachi has categorically denied all claims. He stated that he neither made any inappropriate proposals nor sent any objectionable messages. He further clarified that the shoot being discussed was to take place in Chandigarh, not elsewhere.

As of now, no police complaint has been filed by Ritu Khund in connection with the matter. Following statements from both sides, the issue has become a topic of discussion on social media and within the local arts community.
