London: Questions have once again been raised over the approach of England cricket team’s head coach Brendon McCullum and managing director Rob Key. Recently, Liam Livingstone and Jonny Bairstow had also expressed concerns regarding their policies.
Now, all-rounder Sam Curran has revealed that he once had a confrontation with the coach after being dropped from the team. His statement, made just ahead of the county cricket season, indicates that players who are left out of the England squad are not always treated well.
Curran said that, out of frustration, he once directly questioned the coach about why he had been kept out of the Test team for such a long period. He also remained out of the limited-overs squad for more than a year.
