Rupee declines by nearly 3.6% so far this year

New Delhi: The Indian rupee continues to remain under sustained pressure, touching a historic low of 93.94 against the US dollar on March 23 for the first time. So far this year, the currency has depreciated by approximately 3.6 percent. A combination of global and domestic factors is contributing simultaneously to the weakening of the rupee.
