Raebareli Congress leader Rahul Gandhi met the family of a man who was allegedly beaten to death. Several arrests have already been made in the case, which has now taken on a political turn.
On Friday, Rahul Gandhi visited the family of the deceased, Hariom Valmiki, and later strongly criticized the Yogi government while speaking to the media. Rahul claimed that the victim’s family told him they were threatened by government officials and warned not to meet him.
“The family has been kept under confinement,” he said. “We are doing everything we can to support them. All we are asking for is justice. However, the family is not being allowed to step out of their home. There is even a girl in the house who needs to undergo surgery, but the government has locked them inside,” Rahul Gandhi alleged.
