AYODHYA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a historic moment on Tuesday, hoisted the sacred saffron Dhwaja (flag) atop the spire of the newly constructed Shri Ram Mandir during the auspicious Abhijit Muhurat. The event, marking the formal completion of the grand temple, was witnessed by a gathering of prominent dignitaries and thousands of devotees, as chants of “Jai Shri Ram” echoed throughout the temple town.
The Prime Minister was joined in the primary rituals by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat. Also in attendance were Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and a host of saints, seers, and Ram devotees from across the country who had gathered to witness the landmark occasion.
The hoisting of the flag signifies the culmination of the temple’s construction, etching this moment in golden letters in history.Prior to the ceremony, Prime Minister Modi led a grand roadshow through the decorated streets of Ayodhya, where he was greeted by large crowds of devotees waving both the national tricolor and the saffron flag of Sanatana Dharma.The entire city of Ayodhya resonated with the name of Ram.
Following the roadshow, the Prime Minister and the RSS chief performed a detailed pooja at the Janmabhoomi temple, offering prayers to Ram Lalla . This final ceremony formally concludes the temple’s establishment, a moment awaited for a long period by millions.
