New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated 19-year-old Vedamurti Devavrat Mahesh Rekhe for completing the rare and rigorous Dandakrama Parayanam, a recitation of 2,000 mantras from the Shukla Yajurveda’s Madhyandini branch, without interruption in just 50 days. The Prime Minister described the feat as extraordinary and said it would be remembered by generations to come.
Sharing his sentiments on social media platform X, PM Modi expressed pride in the young scholar’s accomplishment, highlighting that the flawless recitation, which embodies the highest principles of the Guru Parampara, took place in the sacred city of Kashi (Varanasi), where he serves as a Member of Parliament.
