Paris: Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have advanced to the Round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League following a hard-fought victory over AS Monaco. In the second leg of their playoff tie, PSG played out a 2–2 draw with Monaco, securing progression with a 5–4 aggregate advantage.
Monaco made a strong start to the match, taking the lead in the first half with an early goal to go 1–0 ahead. In the second half, PSG captain Marquinhos leveled the score at 1–1, converting a cross delivered by Désiré Doué. Shortly thereafter, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia found the net to give PSG a 2–1 lead in the match.
Monaco substitute Jordan Teze added late drama by scoring in stoppage time, bringing the contest to 2–2 and reigniting the excitement. However, PSG held on to their aggregate advantage, ultimately sealing a 5–4 overall victory to book their place in the Round of 16.
