Jammu: The Jammu Division of Northern Railway has decided to extend the operating period of the special reserved train services numbered 04081/04082. These trains have already been operated in multiple phases and have emerged as a reliable and convenient travel option among passengers. According to railway officials, the extension has been approved in view of the consistently rising passenger demand and the positive feedback received.
This special train has proven particularly beneficial for tourists traveling to Jammu and Kashmir, especially during the winter and snowfall season. The Senior Divisional Commercial Manager stated that the operation of this service has led to a significant increase in tourist footfall. In previous runs, the train operated at nearly 100 percent capacity, clearly reflecting its popularity.
In addition, passengers from major stations such as Jalandhar Cantt, Ludhiana, and Ambala Cantt are also benefiting from this service. Passengers are advised to check the train schedule and current status before commencing their journey by dialing 139 or using the NTES mobile application.
