New Delhi: Giani Harpreet Singh, President of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Punjab Reforms), has strongly condemned the alleged derogatory remarks made by senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi in the Delhi Assembly regarding Sikh Gurus. Terming the remarks highly objectionable, he said that the Aam Aadmi Party leader involved in the matter must issue an immediate apology.
Giani Harpreet Singh expressed his views through a post on social media, stating that the use of such language against Sikh Gurus would not be tolerated under any circumstances. He also cautioned Aam Aadmi Party Punjab President Aman Arora and urged him to ensure that the party leader concerned offers an immediate apology.
Meanwhile, senior Punjab Congress leader and MLA Pargat Singh also strongly criticized the comments made by Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi about Sikh Gurus in the Delhi Assembly. He said that using derogatory language about the revered Sikh Gurus on a sacred democratic platform like the Delhi Assembly is extremely condemnable and completely unacceptable.
