New Delhi: New Zealand’s star spinner Mitchell Santner has joined the Mumbai Indians squad, making him available for selection in Saturday’s IPL clash against the Delhi Capitals. He linked up with the team on Thursday ahead of the Indian Premier League fixture.
Alongside Santner, England all-rounder Will Jacks has also joined the Mumbai Indians camp. The team had secured a victory in their opening match against the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Both Santner and Jacks had requested permission to join the IPL later following the T20 World Cup. Meanwhile, head coach Mahela Jayawardene had stated that both players cited personal reasons for the delay, which is why they were granted additional time before joining the squad.
