North 24 Paragnas: A licensing issue with a government-hired helicopter on Tuesday disrupted Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s travel plans to Bangaon, where she was scheduled to address a rally against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. The sudden cancellation forced her to travel by road, delaying the programme and triggering a political storm.
At the start of the rally, Mamata Banerjee said it was suddenly informed that the helicopter hired by the state government would not fly. She sarcastically remarked, “The conflict has been started even before the elections have begun.” After this, she directly targeted the BJP, saying, “BJP, don’t come to play with me. The way I play, you will neither be able to catch me nor understand me.”
