The Indian Army is known for teaching a lesson to anyone who dares to challenge the nation—but this time, every Indian citizen has also responded in their own way. Turkey and Azerbaijan, both of which had openly supported Pakistan during Operation Sindoor and stood against India, are now facing the consequences.
Between May and August 2025, the number of Indian tourists visiting Azerbaijan dropped by 56 percent, while Turkey witnessed a 33.3 percent decline. This marks a sharp reversal, as both countries had previously seen a steady rise in Indian visitor numbers. In 2024, 2.44 lakh (244,000) Indian tourists had travelled to Azerbaijan and 3.31 lakh (331,000) to Turkey. However, following Operation Sindoor, the atmosphere has completely changed.
