Lanúsia: Indian boxers made an impressive start to their campaign at the Boxam Elite International 2026 boxing tournament with commanding victories. The prestigious tournament features 214 boxers from 21 countries, and the Indian contingent began strongly by winning their opening bouts. In the men’s elite 70 kg category, India’s Hitesh Gulia delivered a dominant performance, defeating the Netherlands’ Finn Bos by a unanimous 5–0 decision. Meanwhile, in the women’s elite 54 kg category, Preeti registered a comfortable 5–0 win against Kazakhstan’s Aliyaskar Simbat, showcasing complete control throughout the bout.
