New Delhi: Diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure have reached a critical and alarming stage in India. According to a report, nearly 100 million people in the country are currently living with diabetes, and if the present trend continues, this number could double by 2030.

A new international report has further underscored the gravity of the situation. It warns that over the next three decades, diabetes could emerge as the second-largest burden on India’s economy, posing serious challenges to public health systems and overall economic stability.
