Hyderabad: The Indian Women’s National Field Hockey Team will begin its campaign on Sunday in the FIH Hockey World Cup Qualifiers 2026, which is set to commence in Hyderabad, Telangana. The team will aim to deliver a strong performance in the tournament and secure a place in the Women’s Hockey World Cup 2026.
Apart from the host nation India, the competition will feature teams from England, Scotland, South Korea, Italy, Uruguay, Wales, and Austria.
A total of eight teams have been divided into two groups of four each. Group A consists of England, South Korea, Italy, and Austria, while Group B includes India, Scotland, Uruguay, and Wales.
According to the tournament format, the top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals.
