Describes Inquiry as Politically Motivated in Testimony Before Congressional Committee
Washington: Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appeared before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and firmly denied having any association or meeting with Jeffrey Epstein. She stated that she had no knowledge of Epstein’s criminal activities and does not recall ever meeting him.
In her testimony, Clinton said, “I had no knowledge of his criminal activities. I do not recall ever meeting Epstein. I never traveled on his plane, nor did I visit his island, residences, or offices.”
The hearing took place as part of an investigation led by the Republican-led committee in the House of Representatives. The inquiry is focused on how federal agencies handled cases involving Jeffrey Epstein and his associate, Ghislaine Maxwell. Epstein died in custody in 2019 while facing charges of sex trafficking, while Maxwell is currently serving a sentence in federal prison.
