Weather Report

Weather conditions have undergone a significant shift across India—from the northern to the southern states. While residents of Delhi and its adjoining areas continue to suffer from toxic air filled with smoke and dust, several southern states are reeling under relentless heavy rainfall and strong winds.

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the national capital continues to struggle with poor air quality. On Wednesday morning, Delhi’s overall Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 342, placing it in the “very poor” category. Smog continues to blanket the city’s skies, further inconveniencing residents. Although pollution levels have slightly decreased, the situation remains concerning.

According to the weather department, extremely heavy rainfall is likely over Tamil Nadu and Kerala today. Additionally, warnings have been issued for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning in Puducherry, southern and coastal Karnataka, Rayalaseema, and coastal Andhra Pradesh.
