Rajkot. A dangerous obsession with creating social media reels and taking selfies turned tragic in Gujarat’s Rajkot. On Monday afternoon, near the Maldhari railway crossing between Bhaktinagar and Ribda railway stations, two youths lost their lives after being struck by the high-speed Vande Bharat Express, while another youth sustained serious injuries.
The incident occurred when all three youths were standing extremely close to the railway track, recording videos on their mobile phones. The speeding train hit them before they could move away, resulting in a heartbreaking accident.
