Tehran: Amid the intense and ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Iran’s exiled Crown Prince and son of the last Shah, Reza Pahlavi, has taken a significant political step. In an emotional video message, Pahlavi not only condemned the missile attacks launched by Iran on neighboring Arab countries but also announced that he has accepted the public mandate to lead the country following the possible collapse of the Islamic Republic.
This development comes at a time when Iran is facing a serious leadership crisis after the deaths of the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several top military commanders in joint strikes carried out by the United States and Israel on February 28.
In his address, Pahlavi strongly condemned the missiles fired at United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia, describing them as an unacceptable violation of national sovereignty. He stated clearly that the current regime has spread bloodshed and instability across the region for nearly five decades, and that this era must now come to an end.
Pahlavi also reassured the Arab world that this aggressive policy does not reflect the will of the Iranian people but is instead the result of the actions of the existing authoritarian regime.
