New Delhi: The Supreme Court is currently hearing a petition filed by the non-governmental organization Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), which has alleged arbitrary deletions of voters’ names. During the proceedings, an uncomfortable situation arose for senior advocate Prashant Bhushan, who was representing ADR, when discrepancies and false information were found in the affidavit submitted by the NGO.
The two-judge bench hearing the matter told Bhushan that he must take full responsibility for the misleading information presented before the court. Referring to the data submitted by Yogendra Yadav, the court further observed that the issue was not merely a problem but a crisis.
