Jammu: In view of the expected surge of devotees arriving for the sacred Chaitra Navratri, commencing tomorrow, March 19, the administration and the Shrine Board have finalized all necessary preparations. Following directives from the Lieutenant Governor, a high-level meeting was convened under the chairmanship of the Shrine Board’s Chief Executive Officer, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, where detailed reviews of security measures, crowd management, and disaster preparedness were conducted.
It was decided during the meeting that the RFID card system will be strictly enforced along the pilgrimage route. Only those carrying valid cards will be permitted to proceed towards the Bhawan. To further strengthen security arrangements, the entire route has been divided into five zones—Katra, Banganga, Ardhkuwari, Tarakote–Sanjichhat, and Bhawan.
