Kolkata: Ahead of the upcoming elections in Bangladesh, the surge in violent incidents has raised serious concerns about the safety of minorities. The situation is becoming increasingly challenging, particularly for the Hindu community and other minority groups. In recent days, several cases of killings of Hindus have come to light; however, instead of taking effective action, the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus has dismissed these incidents as propaganda.
Amid this tense and unstable environment, the death of renowned Hindu musician and senior Awami League leader Pralay Chaki in police custody has caused widespread shock. Following Pralay Chaki’s death, his family has made extremely serious allegations against the jail administration and the police.
