New Delhi: According to former cricketer Irfan Pathan, the inclusion of batter Sanju Samson in the squad will provide a significant advantage to Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. Ahead of the IPL auction, CSK secured Samson from Rajasthan Royals through a trade deal.
Pathan noted that Samson’s impressive performances during the ICC Cricket World Cup indicate that he is currently in excellent form. With Samson in the lineup, CSK is expected to have a stronger chance of victory in their opening match against Rajasthan.
He further pointed out that Samson spent several seasons with the Royals, giving him deep insight into the team’s strategies as well as the playing styles of its key players. This familiarity could work in CSK’s favor during the encounter.
CSK reportedly brought Samson into their squad for approximately ₹18 crore, reinforcing their batting lineup ahead of the tournament.
