New Delhi: In a significant legal ruling, the Supreme Court has clarified that employees appointed on a contractual basis through external agencies or contractors cannot claim parity with regular employees of government departments or public bodies. A bench comprising Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah and Justice Vipul M. Pancholi, in its judgment, described government jobs as public property and observed that regular appointments are made through a transparent selection process. This process ensures equal opportunity for all eligible candidates across the country.
