Mumbai. The debate over working hours in the film industry has yet to subside. Sharing his perspective on the issue, veteran actor Ashutosh Rana has voiced his support for Deepika Padukone, describing an eight-hour shift as not only appropriate but necessary. In a conversation, Rana said that stretching any creative work beyond a reasonable limit is not advisable. According to him, if exceptional output is expected from an artist or technician, equal attention must be given to their energy levels, mental well-being, and physical capacity. He added that confining the creative process to eight hours is a challenge in itself, but if it can be achieved with positive results, there can be nothing better. He further noted that working continuously beyond set limits directly affects the quality of work.
