New Delhi: To address women’s issues at the grassroots level, the National Commission for Women (NCW) is organizing a public hearing under its initiative “NCW Aapke Dwar – Mahila Jan Sunwai” in Bengaluru. The hearing will take place on October 13, beginning at 12 noon, and will be attended by NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar.
To ensure the effective and timely resolution of women-related cases, senior officials, including District Magistrates, Superintendents of Police, and other key administrative officers, will also participate in the proceedings.
The NCW has invited women from Bengaluru and neighboring regions to take part in the hearing and present their grievances directly before the Commission. The Commission remains committed to ensuring that every woman receives a timely and impartial resolution to her concerns.
Vijaya Rahatkar will be on a three-day visit to Bengaluru from October 12 to 14, 2025. During her stay, she will hold review meetings with senior administrative and police officials and meet with the Chief Secretary and other senior representatives of the state government.
In an effort to promote digital empowerment among women, the NCW is running the “Yashoda AI Programme”, which provides artificial intelligence training to women across India. As part of this initiative, a training session will also be conducted in Bengaluru.
Additionally, to raise awareness among youth about women’s rights and gender sensitivity, the Commission will organize a “Campus Calling” event in the city.
